University of Alabama Students Turn Trash into Fashion for Charity

A student-led organization, known as the College of Human and Environmental Sciences and Fashion Inc, on the campus of the University of Alabama held their 8^th Annual Tee Time Fundraiser on April 10. This fashion show featured designs and dresses made by about 30 students from recycled T-shirts only! However, this year the designers were allowed to use materials such as trash bags, phone books, duct tape and anything that is not fabric.

The money from this fashion show will be used to raise funds for the Woodland Forrest Elementary School Outdoor Classroom Initiative, in addition to the senior fashion show held in the fall. http://cw.ua.edu/2012/04/10/design-students-turn-trash-into-fashion-for-charity/
