National Volunteer Week, Celebrating Service, Points of Light

Do you volunteer in your community? If so, who or what organization do you volunteer for? This week we are observing National Volunteer Week. Established by Points of Light in 1974, this program is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. The mission about taking action and encouraging individuals and their respective communities to be at the center of social change.

Points of Light, National Volunteer Week, VolunteeringThis annual celebration is observed in the United States and Canada this week, to promote and show appreciation for volunteerism in both countries. If you have a voluntary effort you are involved in be sure to tell us about it. Use #NVW2015 on your social media posts to show your support about this cause. National Volunteer Week is about discovering and actively demonstrating our collective power to make a difference.
