Now that the rollercoaster winter ride we were on over the last 3 months seems like is over, everyone is ushering in the Spring with weeding their lawns and planting flowers, seeds, trees and crops. This month is National Garden Month. The National Gardening Association (NGA), a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, formed National Garden Month. Their mission is to empower every generation to lead healthier lives, build stronger communities, and encourage environmental stewardship through educational garden programs.

Through their garden-based educational initiatives, NGA offers children an education that begins in the garden and stays with them the rest of their lives. Such influence results in improved academics, better eating habits, greater environmental stewardship, and ultimately healthier, more secure and engaged communities.
