Did you know that The Color Run is the first paint race of its kind and was inspired by several amazing events, like Mud Runs, Disney’s World of Color, Paint Parties and festivals throughout the world such as Holi? Did you also know that today we celebrate Holi? Holi is a major Hindu spring festival celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Phalgun (March), in honor of Krishna. People around the world take part in this annual festival of colors.

Bright colours of gulal (colored powder) and abeer fill the air, as people take turns pouring color water over each other. This “play of colours,” is a tradition in which people not only spray colored water on each other, but sing and dance to the beat of a dholak (a two-handed drum). Celebrants drink Bhang, a beverage that can relieve anxiety and heighten enjoyment…
