The United Nations Watercourses Convention, Favorite Things for a CAUSE, Water Conservation

Water conservation is not an uncommon subject around the world nowadays. Actually, the conversation has been going on for decades. We understand what it’s like to experience a drought where water is limited for basic usage. We also witness how many non-profit organizations are working to provide clean drinking water to the millions of people who do not have access to it. This is one reason why it is vital to monitor and control the water we waste every day, because as the old adage says: You don’t miss the water til the well runs dry!”

If you never heard of The United Nations Watercourses Convention, let us introduce them to you. The United Nations Watercourses Convention came into force on August 17, 2014. The agreement provides an international framework on fresh water supplies to improve water security, with a focus on global cooperation and conflict resolution. Green charities hail the efforts to improve water security across borders by this new UN Global fresh water management convention.

How are you personally addressing water conservation in your home? The global water crisis is a very real thing and if we don’t quickly do our part to avoid water waste and contamination, the one life source that we need will not be there when we need it.
