This week we asked the question about whether your nonprofit organization was affected by the recent revocation of your tax-exempt status by the IRS. If you were affected, we hope that you are working expeditiously to regain your tax exemption status. If not, here is a valuable tip from Network for Good for Nonprofits:

Don’t forget about online donors. Walk through every step of your online donation process. Where does the donor land after making the gift? Does the donor receive an immediate receipt or thank you email? With online giving going up, you need to make sure your online donors are getting the same attention as your offline supporters.

Donors want to feel appreciated and by responding immediately to their gifts with appreciation is a good way to retain your donors, by forming a relationship with them. Remember, your donors could easily be giving their monetary gifts to someone else.
