October 3, 2009

It is such a rewarding and exhilarating experience to participate in an event that commemorates the lives of those surviving and succumbing to breast cancer (women and men alike). We were among about 15,000 people participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K event in Charlotte, North Carolina this morning. This photo gives you a glimpse of the masses that turned out very early this morning from our vantage point! There were even more people behind us!

100_0208It was amazing how many children, senior citizens and even dogs came out and were a part of a spectacular cause! Our hats off to the organizers and sponsors who worked diligently to make this event possible and successful! Kym has to give a “shout-out” to Yoplait who sponsored the Race for the Cure and is also one of the supporting brands of the General Mills Feeding Dreams Community Champions Campaign for 2009, that she is a proud recipient of.

100_0216Kym is pictured here with friends Ebony Moore-Roach (Founder of Miss Ebony’s School of Etiquette, Inc.) and Ros (one of Charlotte’s Finest Police Officers).  They got together and walked early this morning! What a rewarding experience! Can’t wait until next year!
