On an ordinary day in Charlotte, North Carolina, Valarie R. Brooks is known as the hardest working person in real estate, by connecting great people to great homes! While she finds immense pleasure in her career, there is something else that is near and dear to her heart; mentoring. When you engage in a conversation with Valarie about mentoring, her face lights up like a Christmas tree. It is obvious that she is quite passionate about mentoring young people and watching them transform into being the best that they can be.
There isn’t room for the word can’t in Valarie R. Brooks’ vocabulary. Rather, she prefers to think positively. Whether she’s mentoring young adults or helping homeless citizens through To Serve with Love, Valarie is determined to share her positive attitude with those in the Charlotte community. “Sometimes we may not realize how a small act, kind word or heartfelt gesture can impact others who are looking for encouragement,” said Valarie. Valarie’s Feeding Dreams™ grant will be used to help youth involved with Charlotte’s Girl Talk Foundation, Inc., where Valarie serves on the Board of Directors. “Our goal is to empower youth, both girls and boys, to be leaders of tomorrow. We need powerful youth to lead us in the future,” she explained. Girl Talk also hosts teen summits and coordinates mother-daughter events to bring teens and their parents together to talk about current issues and participate in fun activities.
